Celebrate Your Divorce
August 17, 2009
Divorce is almost never easy.
There are very few cases, particularly when there are children involved, that spouses enter into the decision lightly to end the marriage.
The circumstances can vary, the contentions may vary, but no divorce decree can ever wipe out the memories of the marriage that is now over.
Through that emotional time, you’re also dealing with the paperwork, the lawyers, the judges, the court clerks, the fees, the deadlines, and of course, the children.
By the end of it, most people are relieved to reach a point of closure. Some may even want to celebrate: if not the end of the marriage, then the end of the very tedious legal process involved. Some are relieved that they will no longer be held responsible for the financial debts of their now-ex. Some feel a sense of a new beginning.
That’s perfectly acceptable.
